Biography

Daniele Pastori serves as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Atherothrombosis Center of the Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties of “Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy.
Dr Pastori has published more than 150 international peer-reviewed scientific articles, and his research and publications focus on antithrombotic treatments in high-risk patients such as those suffering from atrial fibrillation, venous thromboembolism, antiphospholipid syndrome, and patients implanted with prosthetic heart valves.
He is member of numerous scientific societies including the Italian Society of Internal Medicine, Italian Society for the Study of Atherosclerosis, Italian Society of Haemostasis and thrombosis, scientific fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and the American Heart Association. He is member of the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy, ESC WG on Thrombosis, and member of the ESC Cardio-oncology council.
